The unique perspective of a European/Middle Eastern company is brought to bear on a story of choices made and innocence lost. When a war-weary soldier hands his violin to a stranger, he’s given a book with strange secrets in return. But he’ll soon learn that the stranger was no stranger, and the violin meant more to him than he could ever have imagined.

This Russian legend, made vivid by Stravinsky and Ramuz during the First World War, is brought crashing into our lives in a world-first collaboration of Iraqi and British actors and musicians, directed by Andrew Steggall with conductor Robin O’Neill.
