Michelle Collins makes west end debut in
Rattle of a Simple Man
Co-starring Stephen Tompkinson and directed by John Caird
Two of television’s best-loved actors are taking to the West End stage this spring in Rattle of a Simple Man, a poignant comedy about a shy withdrawn bachelor who plans to spend the night with a beautiful prostitute to win a bet.
Michelle Collins makes her West End debut playing the prostitute Cyrenne, a character who has been affectionately described as ‘the tart with the heart of gold’. Stephen Tompkinson takes the role of Percy, a middle-aged football supporter from Manchester, visiting London for a match. Nick Fletcher plays Cyrenne's brother Ricard.
When the streetwise Cyrenne takes naïve Percy back to her basement flat in London, a bond develops between this unlikely pair and the evening takes an unexpected turn as they start to reveal the truth about themselves.
