Steven Berkoff's acclaimed and controversial reimagining of the life of Christ, Messiah - Scenes From A Crucifixion, finally makes its London debut at The Old Vic.

Messiah - Scenes From A Crucifixion is Berkoff's radical and controversial retelling of Christ's life and death. Raw physical performances combine with searing verse to create a typically vivid drama. The play explores the idea of Christ as a revolutionary, planning and executing a daring plot to fulfil messianic prophecies and encourage the overthrow of the occupying Roman forces.

Starring Greg Hicks as Christ and Stephen Berkoff as Satan, Messiah also features Michael Jenn who reprises his role as Pontius Pilate, Ray Sawyer as Caiphus, John Coyne as John the Baptist and Brendan Hughes as Judas.
