Full casting has been announced for the upcoming double bill Endgame / Rough For Theatre II, which opens on 27 January 2020 at The Old Vic Theatre and stars Daniel Radcliffe and Alan Cumming.

Senior Producer of Edinburgh's Lyceum Theatre Harriet Mackie will be departing Scotland to become the new Old Vic Theatre producer in London. The young talent will take over from Georgia Gatti, who has officially decided to step down from the position by the end of the year. The news comes less than two weeks before A Very Expensive Poison (now in rehearsals) kicks off the Fifth Season at the Old Vic with Artistic Director Matthew Warchus.

As part of the venue's mass redevelopment project, London's Old Vic Theatre has announced today its ambitious plans to annex a new arts space for fostering both young and marginalised talents. The Old Vic's expansion project follows recent renovation trends in London Theatreland. 

The Queen's Theatre recently announced its upcoming restoration project that involves repairing damage caused by WWII bombing and renaming the venue the Sondheim Theatre for the grand reopening of Les Miserables. The Theatre Royal Drury Lane is also now closed for a £45 refurbishment and will reopen in autumn 2020 with the highly-anticipated West End transfer of Frozen The Musical.

The Old Vic Theatre has announced the official line-up for their highly anticipated fifth season with Matthew Warchus as Artistic Director. Aptly stylised as #OVSeason5, the new Old Vic season boasts an unprecedented star-studded cast featuring the likes of Alan Cumming and Daniel Radcliffe, who together star in Samuel Beckett's Endgame, along with The Crown's Matt Smith and Claire Foy, who will reunite to star in the existential Duncan Macmillan play, Lungs. 

Also noteworthy are the official performance dates for the previously announced A Very Expensive Poison, which have finally been confirmed following loads of initial hype and buzz last year. The all-new stage adaptation by Lucy Prebble is based on Luke Harding's account of the Alexander Litvinenko assassination.

After receiving a fleet of five-star reviews, Jack Thorne's version of A Christmas Carol directed by Matthew Warchus is also set to return to the venue this holiday season.

Featuring heavy themes of what Warchus has described as 'dark fantasia' and 'contemporary dilemmas', the new politically-charged Old Vic Theatre season is sure to raise the bar high.

Renowned British actor Daniel Radcliffe, best-known for starring as the Boy Who Lived in all eight of the Harry Potter films, is set to return to the London theatre stage next year, it has been confirmed. He will star opposite Alan Cumming in a new production of Irish playwright Samuel Beckett's dramatic play, Endgame. Scheduled to open at the Old Vic Theatre on 27 January 2020, the new production will be a double bill accompanied by Beckett's rarely-staged one-act play, Rough For Theatre II. Tickets go on sale on 9 May 2019.
