BAKERSFIELD MIST marks the return to the London stage of multi award-winner Kathleen Turner for the first time since her tour-de-force performance in Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? She will play opposite Olivier and Tony award-winner Ian McDiarmid (Life of Galileo, Faith Healer) directed by Evening Standard award-winner, Polly Teale.

International star of stage and screen Kathleen Turner returns to the West End in Bakersfield Mist, a new comedy by Stephen Sachs. The show, which is inspired by true events follows Maude, a fifty-something unemployed bartender, who has bought a painting for a few bucks from the thrift store. Despite almost trashing it, she thinks it's a Jackson Pollock worth millions.

Kathleen Turner And Ian McDiarmid To Star In Bakersfield Mist At The Duchess Theatre
It has been confirmed that Kathleen Turner and Ian McDiarmid will star in Stephen Sachs’ new play, Bakersfield Mist. Directed by Polly Teale, Bakersfield Mist will begin previews at the Duchess Theatre from 10th May 2014 2014 ahead of an official opening night on 26th May.
