Something unthinkable happened on 14th April 1912: ‘the unsinkable’ Titanic, on her first voyage from England to New York, collided with an large iceberg and sank within hours. One of the most tragic accidents of the 20th Century cost lives of 1517 men, women and children.
The story is based on actual characters who were aboard on that cold April night night, and stunning music by Maury Yeston (Nine, Grand Hotel) and Peter Stone only gives a perfect account on the passengers' hopes and aspirations. The Third Class immigrants dream of a new life in America, the Second Class dream of bedcoming rich and famous, and the millionaires of the First Class dream of their wealth will last forever. But they are not yet aware of the fate that awaits them shortly...
