Irreverent, mischievous and yet strangely touching, I Can’t Sing! is the irrepressible new musical comedy hitting the renowned London Palladium. Go behind the microphones and under the judges’ desks at the biggest show on earth, as I Can’t Sing! exposes the (allegedly) true story behind The X Factor – a gloriously twisted tale of naked ambition, heartache, hunchbacks and a talking dog.
Written by BAFTA award-winning comedian Harry Hill (3 BAFTA s, 7 British Comedy Awards and a Golden Rose of Montreux) with music and lyrics by Steve Brown (Spend, Spend, Spend ; Spitting Image ; TV Burp), I CAN’T SING! is co-produced by the patron saint of fame himself, Simon Cowell.
Olivier award-winner Nigel Harman will play X Factor supremo Simon Cowell, with The Color Purple’s Cynthia Erivo and Alan Morrissey as lovestruck hopefuls Chenice and Max.
Featuring a sidesplittingly funny original score and a host of characters who may seem oddly familiar, this brand new production will delight friends and foes of The X Factor in equal measure.
Please note: Nigel Harman will not be performing from 7th July 2014 to 27 July 2014.
Special notes
Please note: I Can’t Sing!is closing early on 10th May 2014. Audio described performance Thursday 8 May 3.00pm.

Inspired casting choices increase X Factor musical I Can't Sing!'s chances of success
As expected, the previously announced X Factor musical which is set to open next March had a further push this week, tying in with the show's return to our small screens. Ratings for the opening shows this weekend which saw previous judge the inimitable Sharon Osbourne return to the judging panel were up on last year. Things are looking good for the stage version too with on-the-money casting choices now announced. Rapidly rising star Cynthia Erivo and Eastenders heartthrob Nigel Harman will anchor the upcoming production.
