An American In Paris Tickets

When An American In Paris opened on Broadway in 2014, it was one of the hottest dance shows of the season. Now, three years later, the show has landed in London’s West End with Tony Award-nominees Leanne Cope and Robbie Fairchild at the helm in a production so unique and so dazzling that it’s sure to leave a mark on the West End for time to come.

An American in Paris feels more like a Sadler’s Wells show than a West End musical, with its focus on ballet it is much slower than West End audiences will expect (especially compared to Disney’s Aladdin around the corner) but it is a beautiful show, which puts the focus on movement rather than flamboyance.

     Valentine’s Day, whether you love theatre, or love someone who loves theatre, why not treat yourself to a show this cold February evening? (It will make up for the scarily busy restaurants, I promise)
      Last year I spent Valentine’s Day with Simon Russell Beale. If you are confused by that statement for a number of reasons, then you should be. Sadly he isn’t available this year, but these will be just as enjoyable. 

With the news that An American In Paris transfers to Dominion Theatre in March 2017 it is clear that for American musicals the only way is up… to London. What makes the West End so attractive to American producers and our British likes and dislikes for musicals shared with our US counterparts. There is a security with productions we know from the silver screen and I will take a look at the best screen to stage (or stage to screen to stage in some cases) musicals in London now and in the future

The show not only has a massive cult following thanks to its very old roots from its movie days, but it also has a very big new fan base thanks to this fresh and new musical; this dance-centric musical balances old and new in a way that was so successful, it landed itself a whopping 12 Tony Award nominations last year including Best Musical.
